In one sentence: the app collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and nothing about you is ever sent anywhere — the only network traffic is anonymous requests for public sea-temperature data and beach photographs.

Baltic Water Temperature has no login and no user account — there is nothing to identify you by. The app saves a handful of preferences locally, using Apple's standard on-device settings storage (UserDefaults):
Your chosen language · whether sound effects are on · your chosen app icon (Classic, Cold, Warm, or Automatic) · whether you've completed the welcome screen · whether you've accepted the End-User License Agreement · which sections you left expanded or collapsed.
None of this ever leaves your device. It isn't backed up to any server we run, because we don't run one.
To show a temperature, the app has to ask someone who measures it. Every request below is anonymous — it carries your coordinates of interest (a city or beach on the Baltic coast) and nothing that identifies you personally: no account ID, no advertising ID, no device fingerprint.
Beach photographs are fetched from Wikimedia Commons, a public, freely-licensed image archive; each photo is shown with its author and license as supplied by Commons. Map tiles are drawn by Apple's own MapKit, under Apple's Maps privacy terms, not ours.
Each of these providers is an independent organisation with its own systems and its own privacy practices for the raw traffic that reaches their servers (standard web request metadata such as IP address). We don't control that traffic once it leaves the app, and we never receive it ourselves — it goes directly from your device to theirs.
There is no analytics software in this app, no advertising network, no crash-reporting service, and no third-party SDK of any kind. We don't know how many people use the app, what they tap, or how long they stay — Apple's own aggregate, anonymous App Store metrics are the only numbers we ever see, and those never identify an individual.
The app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library. It has none of the permissions that would make tracking possible in the first place.
Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either. Baltic Water Temperature is rated for a general audience and contains no content requiring an age gate.
If this policy ever changes — for instance, if a future version adds a genuinely new capability — the version number and effective date at the top of this page will change with it, and the update will ship alongside the app version that needs it.
